The Zipp 454 NSW Tubeless for disc brakes is the ultimate wheelset for road racing. This wheel delivers everything the performance-oriented cyclist demands. It is aerodynamically efficient and stable in all wind conditions. In addition, a wider rim for lower pressure tubeless tires has been developed to reduce rolling resistance and vibration losses, so you lose as little energy as possible on the road. We recommend a 28mm tire on this wheel to achieve the best combination of aerodynamics and rolling resistance. The wavy 58mm Sawtooth rim shape with Hyperfoils is our most aerodynamic and stable wheel. The 454 NSW features Zipp's Total System Efficiency (TSE), our approach to combating the biggest speed enemies: drag, gravity, rolling resistance, and vibration losses. Zipp's use of hookless (straight) rims in the 454 NSW is an essential part of "Making You Faster." With hookless, the transition between tire and rim is more seamless and aerodynamic. Zipp's hookless rims have a more efficient resin distribution, meaning lighter and stronger wheels. The 454 NSW is equipped with the race-ready ZR1 SL hub set with ceramic bearings and 66 points of engagement. The hub set is also 30 g lighter than the previous hub in the NSW wheels.
