With our OSPW RS for SRAM Road groupsets, we are bringing the OSPW into the future with a decidedly modern and edgy design. The updated design adds balance and sophistication to the OSPW system, allowing it to fit seamlessly into the current design trends of bikes and groupsets that include the OSPW system.

With an added level of customization (multiple logo and pulley options) combined with new innovative technical features, the OSPW RS meets consumer demands for personal expression and a premium riding experience. SHIFTING TIME

Active Debris Remover (ADR)
ADR is a patent-pending technical feature based on a unique combination that makes it virtually impossible for dirt to enter the bearing.

It consists of a new dust protection design that is securely anchored in a groove in the pulley wheel and thus completely encloses the bearing. This is complemented by a lamellar groove structure that surrounds the dust shield and dynamically removes dirt from the pulley wheel as it rotates.

ADR was developed in a constant shuttle between our research and development department, the Ceramicspeed test lab and field tests conducted by a select group of our professional off-road teams.

ALPHA disk
For our new OSPW RS, we offer versions equipped with the extremely durable ALPHA Disc wheel, which was first introduced with our OSPW X for Eagle Transmission.

The ALPHA Disc consists of two parts. A separate narrow-wide tooth profile made of a composite material offers longer wear protection and noise reduction. A solid aluminum disc prevents debris from getting caught between the spokes of the pulley wheel and adds strength and rigidity to the pulley wheel.

The first versions of our solid pulley wheel design were tested in practice at the CycloCross World Championships a few years ago. During the 2022 CycloCross season, our sponsored Team Tormans extensively tested the solid pulley design and provided valuable feedback on its ability to repel mud even in the most adverse conditions.
