The FORCE XPLR review.
The 1x-specific FORCE XPLR AXS rear derailleur offers outstanding chain stability and precision. The straight cage design prevents dirt or stress from pushing the rear derailleur into the wheel—for maximum durability and reliable performance in all conditions.
Next-generation ergonomics.
The redesigned FORCE AXS lever bodies enable effortless shifting and braking with an optimized lever position and improved grip. The revised ergonomics, bonus buttons, and stiffer brake calipers provide more control, less fatigue, and a more natural feel—inspired by feedback from countless riders.
Efficiency through simplicity.
The 13-speed cassette (10–46 teeth) offers a 460% gear range and finely spaced gear ratios—ideal for gravel riding. The single-chainring FORCE XPLR crankset, featuring lightweight carbon arms and a direct-mount chainring, simplifies the drivetrain, saves weight, and remains upgradeable with a power meter. Available with DUB™ Wide axle.

The FORCE chain with Flattop® design is quieter, stronger, and more durable. Its hard-chromed inner links and rollers guarantee smooth operation and a long service life—compatible with 12-speed road and 13-speed XPLR AXS.
