With our OSPW RS for SRAM Road groupsets, we are bringing the OSPW into the future with a decidedly modern and edgy design. The updated design brings balance and sophistication to the OSPW system, allowing it to blend seamlessly into the current design trends of bikes and groupsets to which the OSPW system belongs.
With an added level of customization (multiple logo and pulley options) combined with new innovative technical features, the OSPW RS meets the consumer demand for personal expression and a premium riding experience. SHIFTING TIME
Active Debris Remover (ADR)
ADR is a patent-pending technical feature that is based on a unique combination that makes it virtually impossible for dirt to enter the bearing. It consists of a new dust protection design that is securely anchored in a groove in the pulley wheel, completely enclosing the bearing.
This is combined with a lamellar groove structure that surrounds the dust protection and dynamically expels dirt from the pulley wheel as it rotates.
ADR was developed in a constant exchange between our research and development department, the CeramicSpeed test lab, and field tests conducted by a selected group of our professional offroad teams.
ALPHA Disc
For our new OSPW RS, we offer versions equipped with the extremely durable ALPHA pulley wheel, first introduced with our OSPW X for Eagle Transmission.
The ALPHA Disc consists of two parts. A separate narrow-wide tooth profile made from a composite material provides longer wear protection and noise reduction. A solid aluminum disc prevents foreign objects from getting caught between the spokes of the pulley wheel, adding extra strength and rigidity to the pulley wheel.
The first versions of our massive disc wheel design were tested several years ago in practice at the CycloCross World Championships. During the 2022 CycloCross season, our sponsored Team Tormans extensively tested the solid disc design and provided valuable feedback on its ability to repel mud even under the most adverse conditions.
