A lightweight, ultra-breathable road shoe made from an innovative mesh-like material and combined with a full carbon outsole for unrivaled ventilation and race-ready responsiveness.
AEROWEAVE
The search for weight reduction and improved ventilation while maintaining support and protection led our designers and engineers to develop a completely new material: Aeroweave. Now in its second generation, Aeroweave fabric material weaves nylon fibers with filaments of thermoplastic polymers to create an even lighter shoe that retains its original toughness and provides the strength and support needed in competition.
POWERSTRAP
While most traditional Velcro straps simply pull both sides of the shoe upper together, the Vento Powerstrap configuration wraps a bandage around the foot and provides secure support with just two straps. The instep and midfoot are separately adjustable for a custom fit and compression - and these straps have now been optimized to make them even lighter and stronger.
R3 OUTSOLE
The Vento Powerstrap Aeroweave also features an all-new outsole, the R3, which has been developed with an updated carbon fiber layer and a new design to save weight without compromising stiffness. With an index of 10, the R3 is a stiff outsole that allows for optimal power transfer. Two wide air intakes and deep internal channels allow cooling air circulation and help regulate temperature. In line with the latest bike fitting trends, the R3 outsole offers recessed cleat positioning, the same as all the latest Fizik models, to optimize pedaling efficiency and reduce knee compression, particularly well suited for very aggressive, forward leaning aero positions.
